What AI video really costs: agency quote or self-service generation

Quotes and generation rates count different things
A quote prices one finished video. BP is usage, spent each time a model returns a result. So don't compare a finished ad to one generation. Ask how many tries it takes to get one usable shot.
Rate per generation
On the smallest top-up pack, 1 BP is $0.015. Studio shows the BP cost on the button before you generate, and failed generations aren't charged. Changing duration or resolution changes the rate, so trust the button.

Budget it step by step
Example: 4 product stills, then 3 of them animated on Wan 3.0 with two tries each, comes to 944 BP, about $14.16. Leave headroom for extra retries.
- Decide the shot count first. A 15 second spot might start as three 5 second shots.
- Plan two or three tries per shot.
- Lock composition with cheap images before paying for video retries.
- Count your own editing, captioning and music time as cost too.
What 100 free BP covers
Free accounts get 100 BP a month, enough for up to 9 Nano Banana images at the baseline above. A five-second Wan 3.0 clip costs 150 BP and may exceed that allowance. Check the quote for your model and settings before generating. Free accounts also have lower concurrency.
When an agency is the better call
- The real product has to appear exactly, logo and shape included
- You need one owner for planning, editing and delivery
- You need talent, voice actors or licensed music under contract
Frequently asked questions
Is BAEKIT always cheaper than an agency?
No. Generation can start cheap, but total cost depends on retries and the editing time you put in yourself.
Do failed generations use BP?
Generations that fail with an error aren't charged. A successful result you don't like, followed by a retry, is a new charge.
Do purchased BP expire?
Purchased BP don't expire. They're separate from the monthly free allowance.
